Baskati rice is the twin sister of basmati rice. This long grain variety of rice is not only very thin but also has a unique natural flavour. Cooking Instruction

Pre Cooking
Rinse the rice thoroughly. Soak the rice for 30 minutes in lukewarm water. After 30 minutes drain the water away.

Boil Water
In a heavy bottom pan take 5 cups of water for 1 cup of rice. Bring water to a boil.

Add Rice
Add the drained rice to the boiling water. Stir once or just enough to separate the rice.

Cook on medium flame
Turn the stove to medium flame and let the rice cook until they turn soft and tender.

Drain Water
Drain the water using a sieve and allow it to stand for 5 minutes.

Fluff rice with a fork
Just before serving fluff rice with a fork to separate the grains.
